Bad quality briefcase Sep 29, 2010

I purchased this briefcase in lilac a little over a month ago. When it came, the color was nice, and I thought that the brand, Hype, was well-respected, since they sell it at high-end stores like Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks, etc.
However, after a month of use, I noticed that the side where the strap is connected is torn. Because I only use my briefcase to carry documents and files (not my laptop), I know that the weight of the contents was not the reason for the tearing.
I'm thoroughly disappointed and see how bad the quality truly is. If you're going to buy this briefcase because of the variety of color choices, DON'T DO IT. Luckily, even though the 30-day return policy expired, I complained to Amazon and they're giving me a refund for the briefcase.
I would've expected this quality from a briefcase that I paid $30 for, but not $275. Ridiculous.
