Perfect for Day trips or traveling Jun 30, 2010
By J. Lee My favorite type of handbags have two hand straps and an optional shoulder strap. I was thrilled when I saw this purse finally released in the shiny black. Not only was the shiny black material waterproof, but it also doesn't pick up stains that easily, such as sunscreen smears.
This handbag comes with a small separate zipper pouch, but the handbag itself doesn't have a small pouch in the main compartment, so I sewed in the provided small pouch into the main section to keep my wallet in.
I use this handbag for baseball games and everywhere casual.
In the smallest outside pouches, I put keys and rolled up reusable bags.
In the second smallest outside pouches, I put my cell phone, Kleenex, and pen/paper.
In the main compartment, I put my wallet, toiletry bag, baseball cap, gloves.
I love this purse. I definitely would buy another one of this same again if needed.
If you don't like rummaging through your purse, this is a bag that can keep you organized.
Maybe I'm high maintenance, but I wouldn't be able to use this handbag ALONE to pack for a weekend. Make sure to check the measurements carefully... hopefully lesportsac.com has the measurements...? I'd agree that the name "weekender" is misleading. This bag is not a duffle bag at all. This handbag is more like a roomy, collapsible satchel.

Really? Dec 31, 2010
By lisajohns This isn't a small weekender bag. It's not even a small overnight bag. It's a small purse. Very misleading. I'm returning this item...most certainly NOT what I expected.
I love LeSportsac! Sep 23, 2011
By Ellie P I have gotten more compliments on my Lesportsac (I own 7) than any of my other purses, including Coach. LeSportsac is cute, practical, durable, and has so many different uses! Wow! Did I mention I love Lesportsac? I wish I could wear them all at once, it's so hard to choose just one!
As far as the size (which I've heard some criticism on) it is small for a weekender. That's why they call it the "small" size. It's more like a large purse. The medium would be more of an overnight bag size. The large is plenty big for any few day trips I've been on. The extra large? Must be massive, I don't personally own an XL, the large has always been more than large enough for me.
Side Note: My all-time fav has to be the hobo bag by artist B Free. I love this purse so much I want to wear it with everything. Match or not, I love this bag!
LeSportsac, even though you are solely responsible for the depletion of many of my paychecks, I still love you. If purse marriage was legal here, you would be my life purse.
Good over-nighter Apr 25, 2010
By JuliaNYC Another reviewer said this bag was small. As a weekender, I suppose it is. However, I've used it many times as an over-nighter and it's perfect for that. I've put a complete change of clothes, contact lens solutions, cosmetics and hygiene items, an umbrella, a book, and a sweater into it with no problem. It has the typical Le Sportsac quality, so I expect to be using it for many years.

a tad small Apr 17, 2010
By S. Chalgren I was very excited to receive this week-ender(as it is advertised) It is the size of a good sized purse. - could not fit a week-end of necessities in this bag!
